The Practice

HomeWork is a design consultancy and practice that specializes in harnessing the natural energy flow of your space. Whether it's a home, office, gathering space, garden, or land, I employ a variety of tools to create environments that optimize and enhance the inherent energy flow. This practice was born from my desire to combine my skills in creating and collaborating with my passions for tidying, design, gardening, organization, and energy work. Over the past 25 years, I have studied under various teachers in a range of modalities, allowing me to listen within and develop my intuition. I'm deeply grateful to the generations of teachers who have come before me and shared their wisdom on how to connect with our authentic selves and the environment around us. If you're interested in learning more about my practice, teachers, and lineages, please check out the Offerings tab on my website.

I'm committed to making the work of creating supportive and nurturing environments accessible and easy to incorporate into everyday life. To that end, I offer several options for guidance. Typically, my sessions consist of four parts. First, I ask that you fill out an intake questionnaire before the session to provide more details about the space (indoors or outdoors) and your goals. Next, we'll have an online or in-person consultation of the space. After the session, I'll provide you with a written document that includes references and suggestions for any adjustments. Often, this work requires continued effort by the client, so I may give you some "HomeWork" to complete. Lastly, we'll schedule a follow-up meeting or phone call after about three weeks of integration. My goal is to provide you with the tools and guidance you need to create a space that supports your well-being and nurtures your spirit.

I offer several options for guidance, and my goal is to make this work as collaborative and supportive as possible. My fees are based on a sliding scale, as each situation is unique. If you have any questions or would like pricing details, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm also open to trades. Currently, I'm conducting virtual and in-person sessions. I'd be honored to work with you and help you create a space that supports your well-being and nurtures your spirit.

About Amy

As a creator, producer, gardener, seeker, and energy worker, I have a diverse set of passions and interests. I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, and even though I've lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years, my accent still gives away my roots. In college, I studied Media Production, which launched my career in organizing and producing projects in video, animation, and theater. I've worked with a variety of clients, including Planned Parenthood, Conservation International, Tillamook Cheese, Nike Sustainability, Focus Features, Cartoon Network, Rusty and Theo Grim, and my own company, Atomic Arts. Recently, I've been focusing on collaborating with small, women-owned businesses on a freelance basis, where I offer my skills in project management, website design, and audio/video production. Some of my clients include Kea Meyers Duggan, Reiki Lifestyle, Heartfelt Whole Self, Butter Queen, LASH PDX, and Studio DAD.

I've been studying movement and energy work practices since my early 20s to balance the high-intensity work of producing. Even though I've invested years in learning, moving my body, and working through personal challenges, I know that there's always more to explore and understand. Healing my lineage and the impact of my heritage is also an important part of my journey, given my Irish, Croatian, English, and Polish ancestry. I also recognize the significance of the indigenous tribes and bands of the Puget Sound region, such as the Squaxin Island Tribe and Skokomish Tribe, where I live and practice, and strive to show respect and cultural awareness. I believe that continuous learning and growth are essential for personal development, and I'm committed to this path.

Giving back is a fundamental aspect of my work. I believe in supporting my local community, ecological organizations, and groups that promote diversity and inclusion in the wellness industry. Volunteering and contributing to these causes is a priority for me. Additionally, I donate sessions to nonprofit organizations to assist in raising funds for their foundations. If you're part of a nonprofit that is currently seeking gifts for auctions or events, please don't hesitate to reach out to me with a request.

Testimony

It’s been a great experience clarifying our intentions for our home and with your guidance making it flow nicely. The house is feeling more like ours already.

I was having trouble with my new car. It seemed to attract negative energy to it wherever I went. Side swipes, flat tires, near accidents, etc. It was too many bad things all at once, so I asked Amy for help. She used her amazing talents to “clear” my car. She began by burning some amazing earthy-scented incense of cedar and sandalwood! She gave the inside of the car a good thorough clearing and then sealed the whole car with Reiki for protection. Since my session with Amy, I’ve had no other problems. I have no doubt that whatever Amy did has helped tremendously, and I no longer fear driving around town in my new car! Thanks, Amy! It worked great!
